Tea At The Grand Floridian Garden View Lounge

Hello and welcome!  For tea time this week I'm sharing Tea at the Grand Floridian.  Last month my family met at Disney World to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.  On Saturday of that week it also happened to be my birthday!  While the others went to a water park, and hubby rested in the motor home, I went to the Grand Floridian for tea!

What a delightful tea time it was!  From a variety of tea I chose the Garden View Blend.  A black tea blend of Golden Assam, Keemun, and a light flowery Earl Gray.

Isn't that a darling teapot?  It held exactly four cups of tea and I drank every drop!    A tea cozy came on the teapot to keep the tea nice and hot!

First was served the sandwiches and savories.  There was golden beet, curry egg salad, chicken salad, cucumber sandwiches, and a sweet onion tart.  Also, yellow cheese, German cheese with fresh sage, crackers, and an assortment of raspberries, blueberries, and red grapes.  All so yummy!

Then came the white raisin scone served with lemon curd, devonshire cream, and apricot jam.  Also a strawberry tart.

Lastly, the dessert.   I had a choice of strawberries and cream, English trifle, or an assortment of sweets.  It was a hard decision, but I chose the sweets!  Just look at the blueberry mousse swan!

Here are some pictures of the Garden View Lounge.

When my tea time was over I was presented with a long stem rose for celebrating my birthday at the Garden View Lounge!

I had a wonderful leisurely afternoon after spending four days in the park with  my precious family!

Thank you so much for stopping by and hoping you have a blessed week!

What a beautiful place, Nancy. You look gorgeous and far too young to have been married for 50 years! The tea wares are very pretty and the savories and sweets all look good, especially the strawberry tart. Thanks for sharing this delightful experience with us. Glad you got to celebrate two special occasions with your family.
Hugs, Beth

What a way to spend your birthday and anniversary, Nancy! You look so happy and beautiful in your picture. Happy 50 wonderful years to you and your hubby. I certainly enjoyed seeing the lovely tea that you had at the Grand Floridian. The tea blend sounded fabulous and the food looked out of this world. Being with family is the best. I'm in Florida at a beach house with some family this week, and we're having a wonderful time.

Happy belated birthday, Nancy! I so enjoyed reading about your Afternoon Tea at the Grand Floridian. I can't think of a better place to celebrate your birthday. I enjoyed seeing all your wonderful photos too. They brought back memories of my tea at the Grand Floridian last summer with my daughter.
