A Bluebird's Tea

Hello tea friends and thank you for stopping by!  I have been looking forward to joining Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage for her special Bird Lover's Tea to celebrate spring.  I've rounded up my bird theme tea items for tea today.

I bought the bluebird tea set years ago at Cracker Barrel.

I'm using my bird print scarf for a table runner to go along with the other birdies.

The pretty plate with bluebirds on it was a gift from a dear friend.  It is called Song of Promise from the Nature's Poetry series.

I love the darling teacup candle my daughter-in-law made for me.

This week some friends are coming over for tea, so I am going to use the same table settings.

I am using two teapots.  This one is from my Mom.

For favors I  rolled up scrapbook paper, punched the eyelet trim, and filled the cone with spring flowers and a truffle.

I'm afraid it will be quite awhile before spring arrives here!  We have about two feet of snow on the ground!  Decorating the spring table has lifted my spirits, though!  Thank you Sandi!

I will be joining the following parties this week:  Tea Time Tuesday,  Friends Sharing Tea, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, and Teacup Tuesday, and a Return to Loveliness.

Green For The Irish

Hello and welcome!  I am sharing a little green today for tea time.

Wishing you a happy St. Patrick's day with an old Irish blessing.

I am using a very special teacup.  My precious daughter bought it for me several years ago.  We were at Mackinaw Island for a Win-Some Women retreat, staying at the Grand Hotel.  The teacup is the pattern of the dishes they use at the hotel.  Using the teacup brings back so many happy memories of the weekend with my daughter.

The platter is called Hayfield, a Johnson Bro's Friendly Village pattern.  I thought the scene looks like a farm in Ireland!

Thank you so much for visiting and have a good week!

I will be joining  these parties this week:  Tea Time Tuesday, Friends Sharing Tea, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, and Teacup Tuesday.

Tea And A Good Book

Hi everyone!  Today for tea time I have a book I'd like to share with you.  Last year my friend Kim gave me the book for Christmas.  If you enjoy birds and nature, you will love this book.

I'm having tea in front of the window at my log cottage, hoping during tea time I would see some birds in my yard.

I found this cute Winter mug at a thrift store.  I was excited to find it as it is from the Brambly Hedge collection, made by Royal Doulton..  Those story book mice are so cute!  And they look so cozy in front of their fireplace!

The book is about a grandmother sharing her love of birds and nature with her grandchildren, and also enjoying tea time with them!  The photo's in the book are absolutely gorgeous!.

It is such a cute story, one to enjoy with the little one's!

Hoping you have a wonderful week and thank you for visiting!
