Miniature Tea

Hello and welcome!

I hope you all had a good week!   Today I want to congratulate Sandi from Rose Chintz Cottage on her three year anniversary of her lovely blog.  She so graciously invites us to a beautiful tea party every week.  Sandi loves roses so I chose to share a bouquet I received my my Son and Daughter-in-law last Mothers Day.  Did you know that peach colored roses signify feelings of appreciation and gratitude?  We so appreciate your blog, Sandi!

I also thought I'd share with you some miniature tea parties I had at the farm cottage last spring.  My Daughter-in-law gave me the darling tea shop.  It is perfect for storing tea!  I see a tiny garden fairy is enjoying her tea in front of the tea store!

The next tea is on my fireplace mantle.  I started out by putting a sheet of moss on a book and taking an old doll house table and covering it with a hankie, and used the miniature items I've collected over the years.

Last spring I invited a couple of ceramic little ladies for tea in the garden.  They are enjoying tea among the creeping thyme.

Eloise is enjoying tea among the miniature pinks.

Lastly, a couple of flower girls taking time for tea.

Lots of tea time today!  Hope you enjoyed the little bit of whimsy!  Thank you so much for visiting me and I wish you all a lovely week.

I will be joining the following parties this week:  Teatime Tuesday, Teacup Tuesday, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, A Return to Loveliness, Garden Style Party, Friends Sharing Tea, Share Your Cup Thursday, Show and Tell Friday, Home Sweet Home, Feathered Nest Friday, Show and Tell Friday, and Pink Saturday.

A Year of Tea Time

Hello everyone,  we had a safe trip to Florida and I'm enjoying really nice warm days.  I've been to a couple thrift shops here and hopefully will find enough items to do a tea party post from here before we head home. In the meantime I thought I'd share some tea time posts from 2012.

In January of last year I did a post about my antique highchair and my Christmas teacup.

February was a Valentine post.

In March I gave a Spring tea with a picture of my sweet Granddaughter and me.

April is all about my Easter tea.

The month of May started my outdoor tea's.  This one by the pond.

A June tea was under the rose bower.

A Patriotic tea for the 4th of July.

.

In August my Granddaughter and I had a Victorian tea.

September was a Harvest time tea.

In October I posted about a Pink Aster tea.

November brought me inside for the tea's.......a Fireside tea.

In December I gave two Christmas tea parties.

My friend Sue (on left above) recently started a lovely tea blog called SereniTea-sb.  I know she would appreciate it if you would stop by to meet her and leave a comment.

Thank you so much for coming by to visit me and I hope your January is going well.

I will be joining the following parties this week:  Teatime Tuesday, A Return to Loveliness, Teacup Tuesday, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Friends Sharing Tea, Share Your Cup Thursday, Feathered Nest Friday, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Home Sweet Home, Show and Tell Friday, and Pink Saturday.

A Restful Tea

Hello and happy New Year!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  I was blessed to have all of my family here for Christmas eve and on Christmas day also had my extended family for Christmas dinner.

It is quiet this morning and it feels so good to take some time to enjoy a leisurely cup of tea with toast and some very special Christmas jam.  Kitty of "Kitty's Kozy Kitchen" sent me this delicious jam for a thank you after winning my giveaway last month.  The recipe is on Kitty's blog if you would like to make some.  I love the bright red color of the jam.  So pretty and yummy!

I've placed the tea tray on my favorite bed quilt I use for winter.

I love taking time and looking closely at the lovely Christmas cards I received this holiday season.  Its such a joy to hear from friends and relatives this special time of year.

The teacup is filled with Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice tea.  That has been my favorite for the Christmas season.

The unmarked dishes are from a set of four I gave my Mother-in-law years ago.  They came back to me with only one teacup.  Hopefully I can find three more!

Thank you for visiting me during this special holiday season and leaving such lovely comments.  I will be taking a break from blogging for a couple of weeks as we head south for a few months.  God bless and happy New Year to all of you!

I will be joining the following blog parties:  Teatime Tuesday, A Return to Loveliness, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Teacup Tuesday, Friends Sharing Tea, Share Your Cup Thursday, Teacup Thursday, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Home Sweet Home, and Show and Tell Friday.
