Daisy Tea

Hi everyone, we were at the farm cottage enjoying the beautiful weather again.  My favorite tea time's are in the flower garden and I have lots of daisies blooming for us to enjoy!

I'm using a vintage tablecloth I've had for ages.  I thought the blue thrift store dishes would look pretty on it.  The teacup and saucer are both unmarked, but the shallow bowl is marked "engraved for W. Ridgeway & Co.  England".

It was pretty warm out, so I brought out my iron stone pitcher filled with ice water and lemon.

To make sure no bees land in the ice water I used dollar store doilies and crocheted beads to them, to use as little coverings.

Sure hope you can find a sunny warm place for tea outdoors!  Thank you for visiting and wishing you a wonderful week.

I will be joining the following parties this week:  Tea in the Garden,  Tuesday Cuppa Tea, and Teacup Tuesday.

Hi Nancy,
Your setting is just gorgeous today - in the midst of beautiful daisies and greenery! Love your ironstone chair, tablecloth and pitcher with a crocheted doily. The blue is perfect with the yellow wild flowers in the background. So pretty! Thank you for visiting me! Happy Summer! Karen

Your daisies are such a joy to see blooming, Nancy. I love how you've crocheted the beads onto the doilies and what a great idea to use them for protection. Your darling cherub looks so cute in the chair, too.

De-lightful! Love the daisies! Love everything about this. I hope you enjoyed your tea time in the garden.I know I would love to be there with you! We would have such fun! Thank you for sharing with us.
It's a little too warm here in Florida right now for outdoor tea parties. But just wait until fall and winter...it will be perfect.

Hi Nancy -
I've only seen your cottage in the all, so seeing it with all the summer blossoms is so wonderful. You have a special way of combining dishes and linens, to make tea time so inviting. I never thought of putting a doily over the pitcher as a cover - I'm going to try that. Enjoy every sunny moment at the cottage!
