Pink Aster Tea

Hello friends,
Early last week we had some gorgeous weather, in the 70's!  My asters are blooming faithfully in my garden and I just could not resist enjoying one last tea in the garden.

As you know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month so with my tea I would like to share with you a little pink.

Before we share tea lets have a prayer that there will soon be a cure for this horrible disease.

I've set the table with two new to me teacups.  They were without their saucer mates, but I have two at home that match ok for now.  The pink cup is marked Coalport bone china, made in England.  The blue cup is marked Grosvenor bone china, England.  These are the first teacups that I have with flowers in the bottom of the cup.  Such a delight to drink from and see the pretty flowers as I finish the tea.

I bought these asters  from Springhill  Nursery in 2008.  The name is Wild Romance, I had to get them for their name alone!  They do have a wild flair to them!  The deer like to nibble on them in the spring so I have different heights of the flowers in my garden.

Thank you for stopping by this week.  I always appreciate your comments so I can tell who has come to tea!

I'll be joining the following parties this week:  Teatime Tuesday, A Return to Loveliness,
Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Teacup Tuesday,  Friends Sharing Tea, Tabletop Tuesday, Share Your Cup Thursday, Teacup Thursday, Home Sweet Home, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Show and Tell Fridays, Pink Saturday and Saturday Showoff.

What a lovely color poem your asters make! And the perfect setting for a lovely fall tea for this pink themed month. Glad you could enjoy another garden tea. We were in the high 60s last week, but back in the 50s for this week, with a definite fall nip. Changing to flannel sheets today!

The two new teacups are pretty, I'm leaning towards the blue one for my tea. I love the shade of pink of your asters, I have many purple and just introduced pink this year but think I'll get more.

What a gorgeous setting and such lovely teacups. Your angel presiding over the table is so pretty I pray for a cure for cancer everyday. My dear hubby has prostate cancer and has been on chemo for two years.

Comments are such a friendly connection. I love comments and visiting.

Today I hopped over from "A Delightsome Life."

Your teacups are lovely and so are the saucers. Mixing and matching is all part of teacup and saucer charm.

Hi Nancy,
Your asters are gorgeous; such a beautiful shade of pink! The angel is lovely and so is your teapot with the chocker adorning it. I really like your teacups and the saucers you have mated them with are wonderful. I especially like the blue set. It's very elegant! It's always a pleasure to have you join me for tea and I wish you a beautiful new week.

Thank you for posting this in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness. I have a dear friend just recently diagnosed, who will be having a lumpectomy in early Nov...Hopefully they will get it all. I am visiting my son in Maine right now, who has a rare form of cancer found mostly in children, but he is 39. DSRCT. Praying for a cure here too. The pink asters are lovely. I photographed some wild purple ones here at my son's house...so pretty. I love your teacups and the setting. Wish I could sit down with you...I'd enjoy that immensely. Thank you for sharing with us. Blessings to you today.
