Moss Rose Tea

Hello everyone.  Hope you all had a good weekend.

Welcome to tea this week!  We've had lots of wind and rain this past few days.  I've been at the little farm cottage trying to finish the outdoor chores before old man winter sets in.

Its a gray day and it feels so right to have a cozy tea with you.

.

I'm using the table in front of the living room window for tea, covered with a colorful patchwork quilt.  I love my Moss Rose teapot lamp I found in Sarasota Fl. many years ago at a thrift store..  That piece started me on a hunt for the tea set, which I found through the years.

Most of my pieces are unmarked and I got them for just a few dollars.

Please help yourself to some tea and a blueberry sweet I have especially for you.

I crocheted the white granny square afghan years ago.

Looking out the window we often see the neighbors cows grazing across the country road.

Thank you so much for coming by for tea this week and please stop by again soon!

I'll be joining the these lovely parties this week:  Teatime Tuesday,  A Return to Loveliness,  Teacup Tuesday, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Friends Sharing Tea,  Share Your Cup Thursday,  Teacup Thursday, Feathered Nest Friday, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Home Sweet Home,  Show and Tell Friday, Pink Saturday, and Saturday Showoff.

What a lovely tea time setting and atmosphere! I LOVE your teapot lamp, and Moss Rose teaset. If I didn't live in the lower peninsula, I'd pop over to join you! It's cold, windy, and rainy down here too - perfect for tea sipping!

Your crochet afghan is lovely and I'd love to be sitting there, drinking tea, having a blueberry sweet and looking out across the country road. Lovely post! Happy Tea Day!

Hello Nancy,
Your tea time is really lovely set in front of the window where you can look out and see the cows grazing. I love watching the farm animals although we don't actually have them across the way from us. Love your Moss Rose! Debbie at Debbie-Dabble collects them too and they really are pretty. LOVE your lamp and what a find that was! Tea and a blueberry treat sound wonderful. Thank you for sharing with us today and have a lovely week.

Blessings
Sandi

Love the way the lamp matches your tea service! Also, what a lovely, atmospheric entourage.

Would you be so kind as to let me know how these different link-ups work? I would love to join! Thank you!

Your lamp is really pretty, and I like the china too. This is a feminine and pretty tea. The setting is so pretty with the white walls, lace curtains, and white woodwork. Really beautiful images, Nancy!

I always find it interesting to know what starts someone on a path to collecting certain things.Finding the moss rose lamp started a journey for you that has led to sharing your tea time with so many of us through blog-land! What fun, and what a sweet reward.

We have quite a few real moss roses growing around our place, and their hardiness and scent make them very special and valuable to us.They look like your china.

Your view is stunning.

Hi Nancy,
your tea table is absolutely charming. The pattern is very classy, I have several pieces with that design but different shapes. The lamp is a treasure and completes the china so great. Thank you for having me for tea and for your sweet comment on my blog.
Best greetings, Johanna

Well, Nancy - looks like you've been raiding MY tea cabinet. Been collecting Moss Rose for years - since my mom gave me her collection that she started as a teen in the 1950's - to which her sister and mother gave her THEIR collections - and eventually I got it all.

Except - for the lamp. Now -that IS a find and I'd have scooped it up in a shot had I found it first. All in all - you have the perfect setting for this familiar teatime setting - I think I shall join you . . .

Thanks for your prayers and good wishes after the storm. We're all normal - but devastation reins indefinitely just a 30 minute drive away from us . . .
Joy!
Kathy
