Tea In The Garden For November

Welcome friends!  Lately we have been having beautiful autumn days.  It is hard to believe it is already November!  Usually we have had snow by now!  It is just too nice to stay indoors so thought I would share what I think will be the last outdoor tea for this year!

I put the table by my potting shed at home.  The nasturtiums are still blooming enjoying the lovely autumn weather we have had this week.

A plaid throw for the table, an old Alfred Meakin pitcher filled with bittersweet, and brown transferware for tea time.

The teapot is a Woods Burslem, England named "Hyde".  I recently found it at a antique mall in San  Diego while on vacation.  This beauty sat close by me on the airplane!  Doesn't it have a different kind of lid?  I have never seen one like it!

The teacup and saucer are named "King Tom", an American Tradition.  I love to use these in November.

The little creamer, a gift from a dear friend is Midwinter Ltd Burslem England "Rural England".  The sweet little angel is from my sister.

For a sweet today there is a delicious apple cake my daughter-in-law made and  in the teapot  Simpson & Vail Chocolate Caramel Black Tea.  Yum!

Well I could sit out here forever, but I still have some yard work I should do!  Although the forecast for the next two weeks is mild weather!

Thank you for stopping by and I wish you all have a lovely weekend!

I will be joining the following parties: Friends Sharing Tea and Tuesday Cuppa Tea.

Dear Nancy:
I am just thrilled that you were able to squeeze in a lovely garden tea in that oh so special spot in your garden. I love seeing what you create. The whole table is lovely with that transferware which is perfect for fall. Thanks for sharing and linking.

I just love your new teapot, Nancy, and doesn't it look pretty with your brown transferware dishes. I wish I could join you for some of that apple cake and a cup of that delicious sounding tea! I'd even help you in the garden!

Love your teapot and all your china. That looks like a nice quiet place to have tea.

Hi Nancy,
Youe table setting today by your shed is lovely indeed. Do you have two parlors then? I really want two little sheds but hubby said I mustn't put teapots in them if we ever get one. I certainly would treasure that beautiful teapot from San Diego. I have never seen a lid like that either and it matches perfectly with your other brown transferware. I haven't been finding much in my thrifting searches. Everyone seems to enjoy the treasure hunt too now. It's so nice to have mild weather in fall isn't it? Blessings, Karen

Hi Nancy, What a lovely fall tea! It's been unseasonably warm downstate too, but I'm not complaining. I love these mild Indian Summer days.
The souvenir teapot from your trip to San Diego is beautiful. You'll be reminded of your trip every time you use it. Your tablescape is perfect for this time of the year, and your daughter-in-law's apple cake looks delicious!
Happy November! Hugs, Phyllis

I love your teapot so lovely and i adore Natrusiums... I just picked a bunch at mamas and put them in the window though there aren't as many as last year there were still quite a few and I was surpised they survived... All you brownware is lovely and the sweet angel too. We had a beautiful day in San Francisco and this late evening it is still warm... Have a wonderful new week with love Janice
