Autumn Tea

Hello everyone,  I hope your week has been good!

Its a beautiful cool day here so for my tea this week I thought I'd set the table in front of the "outhouse" my hubby built (actually a storage shed).  As you can see the leaves are starting to fall.  So far we don't have a lot of colorful leaves.  It may be because of the dry summer we had.

When I was at the corner grocery store I spied these huge frosted molasses cookies.  When I think of molasses cookies I always think of tea!  The teacup and saucer were separate thrift store finds.  The cups only marking is Japan and the saucer is marked Brookhurst Staffordshire England.  I love the brown transferware dishes and never tire of looking at the quaint scenery on them.  I just finished reading a free book on my Kindle Fire called "The Widow of Larkspur Inn", by Lawana Blackwell.  I thought it was really good  and  it reminds me of the scene on the saucer.

My Brother-in-law gave me the old  bike.  I love the turquoise color!  Well, I can't wait to take a bite of the cookie!  If you were here in person I'd share with you!

Thank you for stopping by!  You all make blogging such a fun hobby!

I'll be joining the following parties:  Teatime Tuesday, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Teacup Tuesday, Tabletop Tuesday, A Return to Loveliness, Tea in the Garden, Cottage Garden Party, Share Your Cup Thursday, Sweet and Simple Fridays, Home Sweet Home, and  Show and Tell Friday.

A delightful outdoor autumn tea. I shamefully have had my eye on the cookie the whole time as I love molasses in baked goods.

Hi Nancy,
The little outhouse is so adorable! What a cute spot for a cuppa. I simply love your teacup! Anything with pastoral scenes on them gets me right away. I must bake molasses cookies one of these days. T'is the season for it. Happy Autumn, my friend!

Blessings,
Sandi

What a wonderful spot for tea! I love your little rustic house and the bike is a great ornament! I have molasses cookies at the moment for tea, but not frosted. The spice always seems so appropriate for fall. Brown transferware does too, doesn't it? Thanks for your lovely post and for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Two Cottages and Tea,
What a beautiful setting to have a spot of Tea!!! Your shed is so quaint! I adore your tablescape!!! Those dishes always catch my eye, but for some reason, I always walk away empty handed. Reading your post it may be because of the fact of so many patterns, I know I would try to collect them all! I adore the scenes on yours! One thing I picked up from this tea is to add icing on my next batch of homemade Oatmeal Cookies...recipe is titled, A Man's Cookie!I'm so glad I stopped in from Marty's today! Nice meeting you...and thank you for the 'cup 'o tea'!
Fondly,
Pat

What a neat setting! Love the outdoor setting you chose and your dishes are quite perfect! The cookies look yummy and I bet with tea they were perfect!
At least right now the mosquitos won't be biting! Did you get the 5 days of rain like we did here in Traverse City?

I LOVED "The Widow of Larkspur Inn", and yes, the picture on the saucer does look like the way I pictured the Inn also! So nice to discover someone who loves the same kind of books I do! I also LOVE LOVE LOVE your yard, tea things, flowers, china cabinet, and the adorable out-house shed and other out-buildings I see on your blog! You live in such a lovely setting!
