Yesterday was our first real nice day (about 70 degrees) in May, so I decided to take a little time out to enjoy tea in my yard.
I took my old storybook about the months of the year to read what it says about May. I do have the cowslips, primroses, lily-of-the-valley and birch trees as mentioned in the poem, but not all blooming yet!
I found the applique tablecloth a long time ago at a thrift store, and also the tea/coffee set.
Charleston Tea Plantation, American Classic Tea in the Grindley & Co. teapot and brown sugar cookies for a treat.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I am sure June will be a better month for garden tea parties!
I will be joining the following parties this week: Bernideen's Tea In The Garden and Ruth's Tuesday Cuppa Tea.

Such sweet treasures that accompanied your May Tea, Nancy! What a beautiful book, so interesting and informative, with lovely illustrations. Your tablecloth is adorable as are your teapot and cups. Lucky you for finding them! Your daffodils are so pretty. Thanks for sharing your teatime with us.

You may have had rainy weather, Nancy, but your tea looks so happy with your daffodils and your pretty tea table. I so love that darling appliquéd tablecloth, and your pretty tea service. Happy Memorial Day to you!
That is the cutest tablecloth! I collect vintage linens with embroidered tea themes and haven't found a plaid one. Sure hope I can find one sometime.
DEE-Lightful!! I so enjoyed this little time of May tea with you! So sweet and pretty...daffodils are so lovely. We miss them growing here in Florida. Your little fairy friends are enjoying the day with you. I would love to be there too. Thank you for brightening our day at the end of the merry month of May!
I love your green transferware tea set, and that tablecloth is darling! Our daffodils are long gone so it's delightful to see yours blooming.
Your Daffodils are lovely! One of my favorite flowers. Love the green transferware, and the teapot table cover is so cute! Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Dear Nancy:
Your garden looks wonderful and so like spring! I love your transferware and that topper is so precious! Thanks for participating in my blog party!
What a sweet outdoor tea setting. The only May flowers that I have are the lily of the valley.
I am in love with your green transferware tea set, I don't think I have ever seen that tea pot in green.
I have always been a blue girl but love your green set
Nancy, spring might come late to UP, but when it comes isn't it splendid! Love your vintage tablecloth and, well, everything!
What a lovely setting. Very inviting.
