A Lilac Tea

Hello and welcome,
Its another beautiful day in May!  The lilacs are in full bloom and giving off such an amazing smell.  I thought I'd do Tea near the lilacs to take in the beauty and sweet aroma of the blossoms.

Today I'm using a special teacup my friend gave me.  Its a memento from Washington DC.  I love the dainty footed shape and the delicate pink color.

I bought the little fairy pushing a cart full of lilacs at a thrift store.

I painted the silk scarf at a craft class I attended last winter in Florida.  I like how it can be used as a  runner to add some color to the tea table.

To the right is my garden shed I made from our old chicken coop.  Its a perfect place to relax with a cup of tea and a good book.

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit me again.  I always look forward to hearing from you.  Have a wonderful week!

I will be joining the following parties:  Tea Time Tuesday, Teacup Tuesday, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Friends Sharing Tea, A Return to Loveliness, Cottage Garden Party, Share Your Cup Thursday, Teacup Thursday, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Home Sweet Home, and Pink Saturday.

Good morning Nancy,
What a gorgeous spot to have a cup of tea! Your table makes a pretty picture with its lace and the lovely scarf you painted. Such a sweet teacup too. The birdhouse, fairy and flowers all lend such a sweetness to your tea which I love! I can smell your lilacs through the computer mingled with the lilacs on my table. Thank you for joining me for tea and have a delightful day.

Blessings,
Sandi

A lovely sun dappled tea by the lilac bush. We used to live in a house with a stand of them and it was perfect for a fragrant teatime backdrop. Love your souvenir teacup. How fun! Such a pretty table! Thanks for sharing and linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Such a gorgeous little tea party by the lilacs! We missed their fragrance this year as an unusually warm March here in MN caused them to bud out and then the buds froze in April resulting in very few blossoms this year.

Your talents in painting that scarf/runner are exceptional it is gorgeous!

There is nothing quite like the sweet smell of lilacs. I planted some dwarf ones by my pergola last year. I loved sitting there and taking in the smell. Your scarf is beautiful. I would never have known that you hand painted it. So, so lovely! Love your garden shed also. Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup.

Your tea table is lovely. That is a very pretty "Washington, DC" teacup.

I really miss having lilac bushes here in GA (I don't think they do very well with the mild winters and long growing season).

Oh, I love lilacs, they grow in the mountains near San Diego, but it's too warm in the city. Love that fragrance! Thanks for sharing. Happy Pink Saturday!! ~Lorraine ♥♥♥

LOVE Lilacs...this year we had an unseasonably warm spell followed by a cold snap and the lilac by my back porch never bloomed :(

Until last week...one tiny bloom appeared on a branch.

Anyway hopefully next year we'll have normal spring weather / for now I'll pretend I can smell YOUR lilac...they have such a wonderful sweet scent
