Peonies And Transferware

Welcome to tea time!  Last week I enjoyed tea with my pretty peonies in the garden.

I'm using  a set of transferware I recently found at a antique mall while traveling back from Florida.  All the tea items are named "Old England".  They are Royal Tudor Ware by Barker Bros.,  England.  The teapot is small, maybe a child's?  It does hold two good cups of tea, though.  The photo doesn't do it justice.  The scene is of a horse pulling a wagon with a boy and his dog standing by.  I love the little spout!  Do you think maybe it's a coffee pot?

The teacup and creamer have the same scene.  I love that the creamer is a small size.  Perfect for one person who likes a lot of milk in her tea!

The darling dessert plate has a scene of a  little cabin and a Mom with her children.  Life was hard in those days!

The light pink peonies have the best fragrance and lasted longer than usual this year!

I hope you enjoyed my tea time today!  Thank you so much for coming by this week!

I will be joining the following parties this week:  Tea Time Tuesday,  Tea In The Garden, Tuesday  Cuppa Tea, and Teacup Tuesday.

Love your new red transferware, and can just imagine it being used at an English tea party before it made its way to your beautiful garden. The former owner would be so pleased with its new home! As always, your garden photos are beautiful! The perfect place for a cup of tea while reading a good magazine.

I so wish I could smell those peonies! We can't grow them here in Florida, and I do love them so much. Your teapot and creamer/cup are all so lovely. Makes a happy little tea party setting in your peony garden. I enjoyed this little break so much while sitting at my desk at work. Very refreshing! Thank you. I can almost hear the birdies singing!

What glorious blooms you have, Nancy! I imagine the fragrance is out of this world to sip tea in that spot. Of course it is always a treat to see red transferware. You know how much I love it. Each piece tells a story which is why I find them so very charming. I think perhaps your pot is either a coffee pot or a chocolate pot. In any case, it is really sweet! I use my coffee pot for tea if I have a crowd. A lot of folks wouldn't even know the difference. You have a gorgeous garden and thank you for sharing with us and joining me for tea. Have a lovely week, my friend.

Blessings and hugs,
Sandi

What a lovely setting for teatime Nancy. ...Those peonies are spectacular and remind me of my grandmothers garden..She always had brilliant burgundy peonies... Red transfer ware is my favourite and I'm not sure but maybe the small pot is for hot water , no matter two cups of tea in a pot is perfect. I loved viewing all you gorgeous garden pictures. Thanks for sharing....Blessings
