A Thankful Giveaway and Tea

Hello Friends,

It has been one year since I've starting blogging!  I'm so thankful for all the precious friends I've met through blog land.  To celebrate my first year I'm having a drawing for a giveaway to all my followers.  Please leave a comment letting me know you would like to enter.  If you are not a follower please become one!  I'll be drawing the winner on December 1st.

I've picked some blues for the giveaway.  A pretty 12 inch doily, a book on Afternoon Teas, paper hand towels, a cute box of push pins in tea party shapes, and blue toile teapot and teacup ornaments.  Good luck to all!

Now lets have tea!

I've been real busy this week and have time for just a quick pot of tea to share with you.  I'm having tea today at my kitchen island.  I'm using these brown transferware dishes I recently found.  I was excited to find a matching trio!  The name is Sunday Morning by W.H. Grindley. Its good to see the people heading to church in the quaint village.

The teapot is filled with Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice tea.  My Acorn garden fairy came by to join us!

As long as we are in my kitchen I thought I'd show you the sink skirt I made a few months ago.  The cabinet doors snap off real easy for a quick different look.

The picture plate on the window shelf is of my two children years ago.  My sister made the sweet sampler for me when we built our cabin.

Thank you for coming by and don't forget to leave a comment if you would like to enter my giveaway.  Wishing you all a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!

I'll be joining the following parties:   Teatime Tuesday, Tabletop Tuesday, Friends Sharing Tea, Show and Tell Friday.

Thanksgiving Table

Hello everyone, I hope you all had a good week!

Today I'd like to share what I plan to use on my table for Thanksgiving.  We usually have a large gathering at my house or a relatives, but this year there will only be four of us.  I'll have the usual roast turkey and all the trimmings, but on a smaller scale, making sure there will be enough for leftovers, yum!

I've set the table with a set of  brown transferware dishes named Cavalier by Royal China. Sussex, made in USA.  I picked up the whole set for just a few dollars!  When I found the four pheasant plates by Rubel  I was so delighted.  I knew what I wanted to do with them!

I found the set of pheasant water glasses at a thrift store, also.  My Grandsons like to use them every time they come over.

The teapot is from Target.  Its heavy and makes a good large pot of  tea.

I'm using an old wicker basket fulled with a rattan pumpkin and a little boy statue for the centerpiece until the turkey takes center stage!

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends.

I'll be joining the following parties:  Teatime Tuesday,  A Return to Loveliness, Friends Sharing Tea, Tabletop Tuesday, Show and Tell Friday, and Pink Saturday.

Fireside Tea

Hello everyone.  Happy November to you!

Welcome to tea this week.  I have a new teapot to share with you!  My precious daughter gave me a early Christmas gift!  I've always wanted a brown transferware teapot and it is such a beauty!

Along with the teapot is a very special teacup given to me from my childhood girlfriend.  It is marked Wedgewood,  Embossed Queensware.

My teapot looks to be very old.  The only mark on the bottom that I can see is a block style B indentation along with two streaks of indented dashes.   Do you see the cows lying in the middle of the lane?  I love the sheep on the teapot lid!

I placed my Grandmothers stool in front of the cabin fireplace and covered it with a tea cloth trimmed with crochet.  You can see the reflection of my dining room windows in the fireplace.

Here's a peak of my Grandmothers stool leg.  Pretty risque for being my Grandma's!  Wish I knew the history of the stool.

Thank you for letting me share my new teapot.  Now I'm suppose to wrap it for Christmas eve (maybe the day before I will!).

Thank you for coming by and have a wonderful week!

I'll be joining the following parties this week:  Teatime Tuesday, A Return to Loveliness, Friends Sharing Tea,  Teacup Tuesday, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Share Your Cup Thursday, Teacup Thursday, Feathered Nest Friday, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Home Sweet Home,  Show and Tell Friday, and Pink Saturday.
