Hello everyone, I hope your week has been good!
Its a beautiful cool day here so for my tea this week I thought I'd set the table in front of the "outhouse" my hubby built (actually a storage shed). As you can see the leaves are starting to fall. So far we don't have a lot of colorful leaves. It may be because of the dry summer we had.
When I was at the corner grocery store I spied these huge frosted molasses cookies. When I think of molasses cookies I always think of tea! The teacup and saucer were separate thrift store finds. The cups only marking is Japan and the saucer is marked Brookhurst Staffordshire England. I love the brown transferware dishes and never tire of looking at the quaint scenery on them. I just finished reading a free book on my Kindle Fire called "The Widow of Larkspur Inn", by Lawana Blackwell. I thought it was really good and it reminds me of the scene on the saucer.
My Brother-in-law gave me the old bike. I love the turquoise color! Well, I can't wait to take a bite of the cookie! If you were here in person I'd share with you!
Thank you for stopping by! You all make blogging such a fun hobby!

Harvest Tea Time
Hi everyone, hope you had a good week! Thanks for coming by for Tea!
I started to take out my fall decorations seeing its September and the autumn season is upon us with the cool weather we've been having. I thought I'd do tea in front of my potting shed where you can get a peek of my four square garden in the background.
I'm using a small quilt today for the table covering and teacup and plate I found at a thrift store. The cup and saucer is Nasco Fruit Festival pattern, and the plate is Autumn's Delight by Johnson Bros. I found them at different stores, but they match great to me. I just love the calico pattern and the fruit motif is perfect for the harvest season. The teapot is filled with Carrington English Breakfast tea, a nice mellow black tea.
I'm going to enjoy another old issue of Victoria magazine. They don't ever seem to go out of fashion. The little watering can is a favorite of mine, a gift from my Daughter-in-law and Son. The verse on it is so sweet.
Hope you enjoyed my first Autumn tea for this year! Please come by for tea next week and thank you so much for visiting me.

Wheelbarrow Fairy Garden
Hi everyone and hope your week was great!
Today I thought I'd share with you my fairy garden I made in a old wheelbarrow. Last May I posted a picture of the wheelbarrow when I first made the garden. That was before the last freeze date so no plants were in it.
You can see what wonderful warm weather does for flowers. The fairies have been busy gardening!
Here the fairies are enjoying teatime!
Thank you so much for visiting me all through the summer months and now that autumn will soon be here hope you'll continue to stop by for outdoor tea when the weather permits!
I'll be joining the following weekly parties: A Return to Loveliness, Cottage Garden Party, Share Your Cup Thursday, Bernideen's Open House, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Home Sweet Home, Show and Tell Friday, and Pink Saturday.

A Sunny Day Tea
Hello everyone. Happy September to you! Hope you all had a good holiday!. Its another sunny day so decided to have tea in the garden again this week. Many of my flowers are looking a bit tired but my Heliopsis (perennial sunflowers) are giving a late summer show.
I'm using my vintage yellow rose tablecloth I had for years. The unmarked teacup was only 49 cents, and I think matches the tablecloth pretty good! I found the unmarked teapot a few years ago at a thrift store. I just love the size and shape. Its filled with American Classic tea from the Charleston Tea Plantation. I made a cream puff dessert for today, perfect for a warm sunny day! Here's the recipe if you want to try it.
Boil together one stick oleo with one cup water. Take off stove. Add one cup flour and mix together. Add four eggs (one at a time) and beat in. Spread on greased cookie sheet. Bake 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool.
Filling: one large package instant vanilla pudding, 8 oz. package cream cheese softened, two and one half cups milk. Beat with mixer. Spread on top of cooled crust. Spread a small tub of Coolwhip on top. Squeeze Turtle Shell Chocolate syrup on top. Refrigerate.
Well, I'm going to sit awhile in the sun and browse through an old Victoria magazine. They are all keepers, I think I have most of the past issues!
Thank you for visiting me a have a great week!
