Tea With Rose

My climbing roses are in bloom and a perfect time for enjoying tea with my William Baffin rose.  I am so glad you stopped by!

I have a few peonies still blooming in my garden, enough for a bouquet on the tea table.

My Lefton teapot is filled with Twining's 100% Pure White Tea.

I feel so lucky to have found these two Royal Albert Petit Point teacups while visiting a thrift store!

I found the teacup below at a antique mall in lower Michigan, coming home from our trip this May.  When I saw it I instantly thought of a tea friend who loves to garden.  I will be sending it to her soon.  I love the verse  on the teacup "Whilst the Morning Shines Gather The Flowers".  Of course the verse on the saucer is also true, especially if you garden!

I still like to send and receive hand written notes.  Today is a good day to send one off to a friend.

A view of my front porch and out to my front yard.

Hoping you are enjoying lovely summer weather!  Ours is so fickle, yesterday it was 90 degrees and today down to 65 degrees!

Thank you again for visiting!

I will be joining the following parties this week:  Tea In The Garden, No Place Like Home, Bernideen's TTCG Party, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, and Teacup Tuesday.

Oh Nancy,
Your tea time is magical today! Love the Petit Point teacups and the gorgeous chintz teapot. Your cottage is so inviting with its beautiful array of colourful flowers. I would love to be there with you and sip tea and enjoy your peaceful looking cottage. Thank you for visiting me and leaving such kind words. You were so right - I am really missing my mom so much more now. At first I was glad she wasn't suffering but now my heart is mourning. After visiting her every other day for the past 5 years I am saddened. My mother was very sweet and kind and I am going to try to live in her footsteps. I do appreciate your prayers sweet Nancy. Blessings, Karen

Ooh Nancy, I just adore your cottage and your charming garden where you set up your tea table. I wish I could sit and chat with you. I have one petit point teacup and I just love the old fashioned look of it. I'm sure your friend will enjoy many cups of tea with the cup that you're sending her, for its a sweet one, with a lovely message.

I cant believe it gets really hot where you are. I thought only us here in OZ get that kind of heat. Your summer garden looks good though. We are in winter in Australia at the moment which means not much happening in the garden. Your Royal Albert tea cups are pretty. Everything looks pretty! I do love setting up the table for tea time too.
Enjoy and have a good week.

Blessings,
Aida

I always enjoy your beautiful garden teas, Nancy! I also enjoy sending and receiving handwritten letters in the mail. However, there may be a potential labour disruption with Canada Post next month. Let's hope they reach a deal so that the mail will keep moving!

What a beautiful setting for your lovely tea! The garden is so pretty, and I just adore peonies. Such a beautiful spot to sit and write a note to a friend. I firmly believe we need to keep alive the dying art of letter writing. A handwritten letter is such a joy to receive.

Nancy, your garden is like a haven. Pure delight everywhere you look! What a pretty teapot and I also have two Petit Point teacups which my hubby gifted to me. Such a pretty pattern. Your weather sounds a lot like ours. Hot one day and cold the next two or three which is why my roses didn't do well this year. You have a perfect setting for your tea table. I would love to be able to join you. Thank you for sharing and have a beautiful day, my friend.

Blessings,
Sandi
