Friendly Village Tea

Hello and happy January to you!  For tea time this week I'm sharing a tea at my log home I enjoyed with my friend Joyce before the holidays were over.  I used  my collection of Johnson Brothers Friendly Village dishes.  I know many of you have the same pattern.   We live where there is lots of snow in the winter, so this set is perfect for me to use all season.

My sister and daughter-in-law gave me the teapot and teacups a few years ago.

I forgot to take a picture of the pumpkin soup I served first with the chicken pot pie and pumpkin scones!

Dessert was pumpkin pie, molasses cookie wedge, snickerdoodle cookies, and mince tarts.

Lastly, on top of my china cabinet is a thrift find recently.  A Charles Dickens music box, The Old Curiosity Shop. The roof opens up for storage and holds my teabags.  The scene on the small plate next to it reminds me of my farm cottage.  The pattern is Welcome Home by J&G Meakin.

Thank you for stopping by and wishing you a wonderful week!

I will be joining the following parties this week:  Tea Time Tuesday,  Friends Sharing  Tea, Teacup Tuesday, and Tuesday Cuppa Tea.

Love your cabin decor you are sharing today. Everything looks so welcoming and warm and comfortable. The food looks delicious. I love the Charles Dickens music box. The plaid tablecloth and the moose napkin; everything goes together so well.

Nancy, your table looks so cozy and inviting. I do love my FV too and it sets such a charming table this time of year. I must say your food looks delicious. I could really go for a little chicken pot pie right now. All your goodies look scrumptious! I'm sure your friend Joyce really enjoyed her time with you. Thank you for sharing with us and joining me for Tea Time. I'm so happy you could join me today.

Blessings and hugs,
Sandi

That all looks so inviting and cozy...how I wish I weren't so far away in the sunny south...well, maybe I am glad to be here, but I wish I could be there too! It would be such a delight to sit at your table and enjoy such a feast! Thank you for sharing this with us today. It was a wonderful way to cap this day!
