Hello Everyone, I'm in the mood for some pink pretties and hope you are too!. Here's some of my pinks I have at my tiny farm cottage. I'll start in the kitchen as this is the way most people enter the cottage unless I'm having a tea party. The first thing you see directly across from the door is my wall cupboard filled with some of my treasures. I'm collecting teapots of the moss rose design. I hope to have one for each place setting someday.
Here is my china cabinet I painted white. It started out from two different pieces I found at a thrift shop. It's filled with all kinds of gifted and thrift store finds and my Mom's rose dishes. See the trellis on the right? I love the lady and the quote, a gift from my sister.
I made the chandelier out of a old light fixture and teacups.
Now let's go into the living room. On the mantel is my sweet angel, a mirrored birdhouse my Daughter-in-law gave me, and a cloche with teacups.
Some pinks in my corner cabinet.
In the bookcase are some of my favorite books and garden fairies.
I hope you enjoyed seeing some of my pink lovelies and thank you so much for visiting. Next time lets have Tea! Wishing you a wonderful week!
I will be joining the following parties this week: Make it Pretty Monday, A Return to Loveliness, Home, Share Your Cup Thursday, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Home Sweet Home, Show and Tell Friday, and Pink Saturday.

Waiting For Spring
Hello everyone. We are back home from our winter stay in Florida. It is so wonderful to settle in my comfy home and being with family and friends again.
Spring is giving us a difficult time arriving. We still have lots of snow and cold days! My garden angel does not look happy in her spring bonnet!
This morning I thought I'd cozy up with a cup of Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice tea. with my new teacup I found in Florida at a thrift store.
The teacup must have been someones souvenir of Wales. I fell in love with the couple having their tea. The weather must have been cold there too! They are all bundled up, but are bracing the outdoors! Looks like spring in Wales with the daffodils blooming! The teacup is a Royal Grafton, made in England.
I'm trying to decide what sweet to bake this morning. I think I'll make the Fairy cookies and have a second cup of tea with them!

Easter Bunny Tea
Hello everyone, wishing you a blessed Easter!
It's been so beautiful here in Florida I thought I'd share another outdoor tea with you. This will probably be my last tea in the beautiful outdoors for awhile. We will be heading back home soon and it will be another month or so before our actual spring arrives!
I couldn't resist using my newly acquired transferware dishes! The tea in the teapot is Trader Joe's English Breakfast. I bet you recognize the butterfly shape cakes from Little Debbie. I do enjoy them and thought they were perfect for a simple spring tea! Seeing that this is a "bunny" tea, I also included the white chocolate bunnies.
I made the flower setting in the teacup out of coffee filters. I touched the edges with pink stamping ink.
I found the brown bunny at a thrift shop. I have a few of the smaller size bunnies at home and have never seen the large ones.
It's a beautiful warm day. Wish I could share it with all of you! Hoping you have a blessed Easter remembering Jesus is the reason for the season!
Thank you for stopping by! I will be joining the following parties this week: Teatime Tuesday, Friends Sharing Tea, A Return to Loveliness, Tabletop Tuesday, Teacup Tuesday, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Share Your Cup Thursday, Home Sweet Home, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Show and Tell Friday, and Pink Saturday.

A Touch of Green for a March Tea
Hello everyone! Happy March to you!
Today I thought I would share with you some more tea treasures I found while thrift shopping in central Florida.
The teapot is filled with Taylors of Harrogate Yorkshire Tea and the petit fours are under a tiny cloche I recently found at a local store.
I love the teacup! The gorgeous flowers inside the cup is a first for me. The teacup and saucer are marked UCAG CO China, made in Japan. I think the saucer is magnificent!
The sweet teapot is marked Crown Dorset Staffordshire England and was only $12.98!
The pretty embroidered napkin was only 75 cents and I grabbed it up as aqua can be hard to find.
Lastly, the chintz vase was a real find at $3.00. The bottom is stamped Blakeney, made in England.
Those heart shaped sugar cookies on the magazine cover sure look real!
Thank you so much for visiting and have a wonderful week!

Collecting Red Transferware
Hello everyone. I hope you had a wonderful week!
Today I thought I'd share a exciting story of how I found some red transferware dishes while being a snow bird here in Florida. I fell in love with this pattern after seeing so many lovely blogs featuring their transferware. I have a few pieces at home and did a post last May titled "Tea by the Pond" using what I had.
A few weeks ago we went to Micanopy, Fl. The tiny town is filled with antiques and little shops. I walked into one of these stores and there in the middle of the store was a table with this transferware all spread out. Boy, did my heart go pitapat! The dishes were so grimy I thought they were all in poor condition. I almost walked away, but I could almost hear them saying "please take me home and make me beautiful again"! When the cashier said the price was $28.00 I could hardly believe it! He told me they were stored in a cardboard box in someone's barn and I would need to soak them in bleach to get the stains out. Well, as soon as I got back to our RV I washed them in dish detergent and they came out almost perfect!
I've been looking for a red transferware teapot at a reasonable price for about a year and was so pleased to find this one marked Windsor, England and a teacup with saucer marked Homer Laughlin, Historical America, in a different antique mall.
Many of the dishes are the Mason Vista, England pattern.
And Johnson Brother's Old Britain Castles.
I couldn't wait to use them so I set a table for two using the Mason transferware.
Well, finding these dishes sure made my day! It's a good thing we will be going home in a RV, to hold all my treasures!
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful week!
