Two Christmas Tea Parties

Hello everyone.  I hope you all had a good week and enjoying this special Christmas season!

Today I want to share with you two Christmas Teas  I recently gave at the farm cottage.  The cottage was all decorated for Christmas, just waiting for a tea party!  The first tea was given for two sweet friends, Sue on the left and Wendy on the right in the picture.  I attended a wonderful Tea at Sue's lovely home a few weeks ago and enjoyed it so much!

I placed the table in front of the fireplace and Christmas tree.  I used my white crochet tablecloth my friend from Florida gave me and set the table with my Moss Rose china.

First course for the tea was spinach quiche and pumpkin soup served in vintage clear glass snack sets (forgot to take a picture!).  On the three tier tray I had cream scones along with devonshire cream and homemade raspberry jam.  Next were the savories which were chicken salad in parmesan shells, ham salad on pumpernickel bread, turkey with cranberry and cream cheese spread on wheat bread.  Sweets were chocolate brownies, whipped cream tarts, madalines, and gingerbread squares with orange cream   I served mock champagne (half apple juice and half sparkling white grape juice) along with Nottingham Scottish Breakfast tea and a tea called "Snowflake" from the tea room Tea Leaves and Thyme in Woodstock, Ga.

The next day I invited my dear daughter (in foreground) and friend Kim to come for tea.

I served the same menu, only changed the tea set to a mismatched collection of teacups and dessert plates.

After I took the pictures I realized the teapot  wasn't in any of the photos!  So I quickly took one!  I recently found this Sadler teapot at a thrift store for $12.98.  Great buy!  I knew both of the girls preferred green tea so I served  Touch of Organic Mango green tea, and World Market organic white pomegranate.

It was such a fun two days for me, enjoying tea with my daughter and friends.  A wonderful blessing!

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to share my Christmas tea with you and hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

I'll be joining the following parties this week:  Teatime Tuesday, Friends Sharing Tea, A Return to Loveliness, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Teacup Tuesday, White Wednesday, Share Your Cup Thursday, Teacup Thursday, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Home Sweet Home, Feathered Nest Friday, Show and Tell Friday, and Pink Saturday.

Blessings, my sweet new friend!
I am so deeply touched by your beautiful post and lovely home. As I read the script on your fireplace my heart was warmed. "May the soft wind of heaven, blow gently through this home." How precious...and, evident of God's presence there among you at your lovely tea party.
Merry Christmas!
