St. Valentine's Tea

Welcome and happy St. Valentine's week!  I've a special Valentine Tea for you, so I'm so glad you stopped by!

We are having tea in my tiny sewing nook.  I've placed the tea pretties on my Grandmothers vintage treadle sewing machine.

I just love my new chintz teacups, a gift from my dear sister.  The sweet teacups are named "Rosalynde", made by James Kent.  So lovely for a Valentine tea!

You may remember my Crown Dorset teapot from a previous post.

The teaspoons are from my Grandmother.  Love the pattern "Primrose",  by Wm. Rogers & Son.

We need sweets for our Valentine Tea,  so I made lavender heart cookies.

I also have cherry vanilla ice cream in meringue nest cups.  To keep us warm the teapot is filled with Hanna's Tea Times tea  "Love Spice",  a black tea with cinnamon, cloves, almond flavor, and infused with orange.

I hope you enjoyed tea time today and have a wonderful Valentine's day!  Thank you so much for visiting!

I will be sharing this tea with Sandi at"Tea Time Tuesday" and Bernideen's "Friends Sharing Tea", special Valentine's parties.

  9. Hi Nancy,
That is such a pretty setting for tea today. I love, love, love that teapot! Such a beauty and your matching chintz teacups are indeed a treasure. I have one like them but mine has a wee chip and crack and I am heartbroken about it. I do believe that they are pricey collectibles. What a dear sister you have! I would just love to try the cherry ice cream in meringue. Yum! Have a Happy Valentine's Day! Karen

  20. Enjoyed seeing all of your pretties. I want a little place like your cottage, I like how you have decorated it so cozy.
I know it's bound to be very cold where you are , but such a pretty place. My Childrens grandfather was from Marquette Michigan and his father was a light house keeper for a while at Whitefish Point so many many moons ago.
    Happy Valentines day!
