Hello everyone. I hope you had a wonderful week!
Today I thought I'd share a exciting story of how I found some red transferware dishes while being a snow bird here in Florida. I fell in love with this pattern after seeing so many lovely blogs featuring their transferware. I have a few pieces at home and did a post last May titled "Tea by the Pond" using what I had.
A few weeks ago we went to Micanopy, Fl. The tiny town is filled with antiques and little shops. I walked into one of these stores and there in the middle of the store was a table with this transferware all spread out. Boy, did my heart go pitapat! The dishes were so grimy I thought they were all in poor condition. I almost walked away, but I could almost hear them saying "please take me home and make me beautiful again"! When the cashier said the price was $28.00 I could hardly believe it! He told me they were stored in a cardboard box in someone's barn and I would need to soak them in bleach to get the stains out. Well, as soon as I got back to our RV I washed them in dish detergent and they came out almost perfect!
I've been looking for a red transferware teapot at a reasonable price for about a year and was so pleased to find this one marked Windsor, England and a teacup with saucer marked Homer Laughlin, Historical America, in a different antique mall.
Many of the dishes are the Mason Vista, England pattern.
And Johnson Brother's Old Britain Castles.
I couldn't wait to use them so I set a table for two using the Mason transferware.
Well, finding these dishes sure made my day! It's a good thing we will be going home in a RV, to hold all my treasures!
Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

A Violet February Tea
Hello everyone! Welcome to tea again this week!
First, I'd like to share with you a wonderful giveaway I won from Judith at Lavender Cottage. The package arrived with not the usual brown wrapping paper, but with beautiful paper decorated with hummingbirds! Here's a picture of the pretty wrapped gifts inside the cute box.
Look at the sweet card Judith made and it matches the beautiful rose soap! Also in the gift box is a darling embroidered sachet filled with sweet smelling lavender, a cute Valentine stick pin, and a toe ring with lots of bling!
But that's not all, also included is a journal and my favorite, a teapot book mark and yummy Friendship Tea!
Thank you so much Judith, for this wonderful giveaway!
Now shall we have tea? This week for tea time I'd like to invite you to a Violet February Tea. My violet tea sets are at home so I'm sharing a tea I had last spring in my tiny farm cottage bedroom.
I bought the tea set a few years ago at a thrift shop. I think it goes quite nicely with the violet folding chair!
Wish I could remember the name and markings of the tea set!
The party hat cookies are real easy to make. Last March in my Spring Tea post I shared how to make them.
I love the sun shining down on the tea!
Well, it will be a lone while before violets are blooming in my garden, but it was fun to remember this spring tea!
Thank you so much for coming by today! I always enjoy your visits and sweet comments. Wishing you a wonderful week!
I'll be joining the following parties this week: Make it Pretty Monday, Teatime Tuesday, Friends Sharing Tea, A Return to Loveliness, Teacup Tuesday, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Tabletop Tuesday, Cottage Style, Share Your Cup Thursday, Sweet and Simple Fridays, Home Sweet Home, and Show and Tell Friday.

Valentine Tea in Florida
Hello friends, will you be my Valentine and come to tea? I've been saving some of my antique mall finds here in Florida for today. I had so much fun dressing the tea table on my little privacy patio.
Help yourself to a cup of "Love Spice" tea from Hanna's Tea Times, (a black tea with cinnamon, cloves, almond flavor infused with orange), and sweets as I show you my treasures.
While I was out and about I found the teapot with the rhinestones at Ross. I know my sweet Granddaughter will love it!
The pink rose teacup was a find for only $5.00. Its made in Germany. Love the sweet roses!
The dessert dishes were four for $3.00. I couldn't resist that deal! The tulips and sweets are from the local grocery store. The sandwich bread is Pepperidge Farm swirl strawberry banana. I filled it with strawberry cream cheese. So yummy and a treat for me as our grocery store back home doesn't carry this bread.
Thank you so much for joining me for Tea today! Now that we had our tea its time for my hubby Valentine to have tea with me. Wishing you a wonderful, happy Valentines Day!

A Summer Valentine Tea
Hi everyone, happy February to you! We are still here in Florida and when thinking about sharing a Valentine post I thought of a tea I had last summer among my roses.
The red climbing rose is an Explorer rose called Ramblin Red. It is so hardy and never dies back in our sub zero winters.
I used a trio set of dishes marked Triumph, American Limoges, U.S.A. 22 k gold. A Romantic set! I love how the gentleman is serenading the lovely ladies. I wonder which girl he has has lost his heart to?
Did you notice the back of the chair has a heart in the middle!
Someone is peeking at the tea table!
I can't wait until Summer!
Thank you for taking time out of your day to visit me and I'm wishing you a wonderful week!
