A Visit To My Garden

Hello and welcome!  Would you like to join me for tea and muffins?  Later we can take a stroll around my yard and see what is blooming in my garden.  We'll have tea on the deck along with my  Red Ramblin rose.  It is making such a pretty show this year!  I've set the table with my Mom's  Blue Onion dishes she bought at Woolworths years ago.

The little table runner is a thrift store find.  I think the little lady is so cute hurrying with the tea and the kettle is still whistling!

Looking down from the deck you can see my four square garden, rustic gazebo, and potting shed.

Let's take a walk around the yard and see what is blooming on this beautiful day.  My four square garden in the side yard is at it's peak right now.

That's my potting shed in the background all covered with ivy and hops vines.

The Ramblin Red rose climber is way up over the deck.

Nellie Moser clematis on the arbor.

Let's walk to the front of my log home.  Lots of flowers here!

Love the Hollyhocks!

I hope you enjoyed the tour of my flower gardens.  Summer is a magical time around here!

Wild Daisies In The Garden

Hello and welcome!  I am so glad you stopped by for tea!

For this weeks tea I took some photo's of my flower garden at my little farm.  It has been too hot to weed so I see the wild daisies are trying to take over!

I rounded up all of my aqua accessories.

The book  Dandelion Cottage was written by a local author, Carroll Watson Rankin.  The setting of Dandelion Cottage is in my home town.  The book is about four young girls who were given permission by the local parish to turn the cottage into their play house as long as they keep the dandelions picked in the yard.  It is a sweet old fashioned story, written in 1904.

Sit a spell and enjoy the beautiful day.

Now that I had my tea and it is cooler today I see I need to spend some time in the garden tackling the weeds!  Thank you so much for visiting and please come back soon!

I will be joining the following parties this week:  A Return To Loveliness, Tea Time Tuesday, Tea In The Garden, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Teacup Tuesday, Cottage Garden Party, Share Your Cup Thursday, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Home Sweet Home, and Show and Tell Friday.

Tea By The Rose Arbor

Hello tea friends, hope you had a great weekend!  Oh how I love my flower gardens!  My roses and other flowers  are really starting to put on a show!
We have been having lots of high winds this summer and I'm afraid my William Baffin Explorer rose has escaped the arbor again!  Anyway, the roses are so beautiful I set a tea for you and I to  enjoy.

I've been waiting for the perfect time to share with you this pretty pink china.  A few months ago I was at our local thrift store and spotted this American Limoges set.  The name is Chateau-K, Minuet Pink.  There are five dinner plates, five dessert plates, three teacups, and six saucers. They were on sale for half price, $4.00! I still cannot believe I was lucky enough to find these!  My Sadler teapot you've seen before, along with the unmarked creamer and sugar bowl.  I also found the crochet topper and lace trimmed napkins at a resale  store.  Actually everything on the table is a thrift store find!

Now that I'm through being wordy help yourself to the tea tray and enjoy a cup or two of Earl Gray tea.

Enjoy the many different variety of flowers with your tea.  I wish you could hear the chorus of bird song in my gardens. A little bit of heaven to me!

Thank you so much for spending time with me.  I really appreciate your visits and lovely comments.

I will be joining the following parties this week:  Tea Time Tuesday, A Return To Loveliness, Teacup Tuesday, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Tea In The Garden, Cottage Garden Party,  Share Your Cup Thursday, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Home Sweet Home, Show and Tell Friday, Pink Saturday, and Saturday Showoff.

Peony Tea

Welcome to tea this week!  We had some beautiful very warm days over the holiday weekend and it is just what my flower gardens needed!  It seems like all of a sudden my gardens are full of color.

For this week I thought I would have tea by my peonies.  I always look forward to peony time for their sweet smell and beauty.  We had lots of rain lately so the blooms are not as perky as a few days ago.

I'm using  mismatched dishes for tea time today, all thrift store finds.

I love the teacup with the sweet flowers in the center. Her last name is Coalport  Maybe I'll call her Sweetness!  The saucer goes well with quite a  few of my lone teacups.  The mark says Orleans, Bavaria.

The sugar bowl with the dainty flowers is unmarked and found without it's mate, the creamer.

The little lady is so precious to me.  My Mom gave her to me years ago.  She put her Mother's butterfly brooch on top of the basket the lady is holding.

My Brother and Sister-in-law  gave us the tall light pink peony for a house warming gift over twenty years ago and the darker peonies were from a friends garden that many years ago.  What a sweet remembrance of the loved ones who gave them to me.

Thank you so much for visiting and seeing what is blooming in my garden!  I will be joining the following lovely parties this week:  Tea Time Tuesday,  A Return To Loveliness, Tea In The Garden, Teacup Tuesday, Tabletop Tuesday, Cottage Garden Party, Share Your Cup Thursday, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Home Sweet Home, Show and Tell Friday, and Pink Saturday.
