Tea By The Pond

Hello everyone, hope you all had a great weekend.  We had  beautiful warm weather the past few days and decided to enjoy a mid morning Tea outside by our boggy pond.

Mr. and Mrs. Mallard have set up residence in the pond.  Right now they are off visiting other ponds in the area so I can now prepare for Tea without disturbing them!

I chose my pink calico quilt for a table covering and used my transferware dishes I've started collecting.  I only have these four pieces so far and I'm on the hunt for more!

The cup and saucer are unmarked.  The dessert plate is marked "Four Seasons - England " and the creamer is "Taylor Smith, USA".  I wonder who owned them before me and what kind of home they were in.

My lilacs are just starting to bloom so picked a few for Tea.

Thank you for visiting me and letting me share a little piece of our log home property.

I'll be joining the following lovely parties:

Teacup Tuesday

  6. I want to start collecting the red transferware, too. It's a favorite of mine. Your setting is so pretty. I love your angel presiding and praying over the tea. Do you have any tips on finding little cottages, etc. for your fairy garden?
