I have a new tea set to share with you. Red transferware! I found the set for only $16.00! They are marked "The Constable series Bicentennial 1776-1976, J. Broadhurst ironstone, Staffordshire, England".
The wild raspberries are from the edge of my yard near the woods. I placed them in Mason's Vista bowls from my collection of red transferware. I've used real cream in the creamer for a special treat on the berries.
The teapot is filled with Darvilles of Windsor English breakfast tea.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful setting for your tea! I cannot help but admire your red transferware and what a deal you got too! It is almost extinct here on the Island. However I did find some pieces in a new catalogue that came out so now I can acquire some pieces although not at the price you paid. I'm quite excited about it because I have been looking for the red for years. I have several pieces but no teacups which is what I wanted. Hope you have had a lovely weekend and thank you joining me for tea.

This is a lovely teaset and I was at Yorktown, Virginia in l976 for the Bicentennial Celebration. I also love all your flowers and I am drying Queen Anne's Lace seeds so if you want some - I will need your address!
