Hello tea friends, hoping you all had a blessed Easter! For tea time this week I'm sharing a little tea for one. Last Wednesday and Thursday we had another snowstorm ! Nine more inches of snow! Not very spring like, so I thought I'd use my brown transferware tea set and my little ceramic chocolate bunny for company.
I decorated a tray with pretty doilies and enjoyed tea in front of my dining room windows.
The tea set is called Olde English Countryside by Johnson Bro's. I love the English scene with the thatched cottages.
I had the teapot sugar cookies in the freezer, waiting for tea time!
The little creamer is from a set of two, called Rural England, Midwinter Ltd., a gift from by friend Brenda.
Hopefully we can get out to the farm cottage soon. My spring colorful bunnies are waiting patiently to be included in tea time! Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful week!
I will be joining the following parties this week: Tea Time Tuesday, Friends Sharing Tea, A Return to Loveliness, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Teacup Tuesday, and Share Your Cup Thursday.
And there lies the snow! Amazing isn't it. I know better from the past to think that wouldn't happen here - it can! This tea time setting is lovely and all that snow does bring good moisture for springtime - as least I try to remember that when it happens here. I love your teapot and cup and saucer - all very warm and friendly looking!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tea for one, Nancy! I love your brown transferware tea set, and I've never seen a ceramic chocolate bunny. That's the kind of bunny I need - everlasting and no calories! ;-) Hope you had a Happy Easter. Spring is coming. It's 61 degrees in the lower peninsula right now and supposed to climb to 77 degrees by afternoon. Finally!
ReplyDeleteYour tea for one is lovely, Nancy. I do love transferware! Your bunny almost looks edible; so cute. Sorry about the snow. Every time we got a new snow fall in March {and it never seemed to end}, I tried to think that there must be a hidden blessing in all that snow somewhere. I hope you had a lovely Easter and your week is extra special. Thank you for coming for tea.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Sandi
Transferware by Johnson Bros. is always very special. Thanks for sharing. I hope you had a lovely Easter.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness, Nancy, nine more inches of snow!! Your tea for one looks all cozy and comforting especially with your transferware. I must find a cottage design teacup as I really do love yours.
ReplyDeleteAn elegant tray of pretty china, lacy doilies and teapot cookies for one. I hope the weather has warmed and your snow will soon be gone.
ReplyDeleteI love your Johnson Bros. tea set. After looking at the teapot I thought it looked familiar. I just realized I have a mug in my Hoosier cupboard of that same pattern! I took a picture, which I will email you! I was excited to see that you have this lovely little set. Mine is rather old and worn and has a crack, but it is still so interesting! Thank you for sharing this with us today. Blessed Easter time. Wish you could come to Florida and thaw out!
ReplyDeleteLovely spot on a snowy day. Your tea pot is just lovely(the scene and the feet on the bottom of it is charming!). I love your doilies! Hope the spring arrives soon!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about the snow!
ReplyDeleteYour tea time today makes up for some of it with all it's beauty! I love (adore!) how you laid your tea tray. The vintage doilies, your JB china, the bunny, it all looks beautiful together. I love your JB china!
I am hoping for some good spring weather for you, may you get to the cottage soon : )
Hugs,
Terri
