Fireside Tea

Hello everyone.  Happy November to you!

Welcome to tea this week.  I have a new teapot to share with you!  My precious daughter gave me a early Christmas gift!  I've always wanted a brown transferware teapot and it is such a beauty!

Along with the teapot is a very special teacup given to me from my childhood girlfriend.  It is marked Wedgewood,  Embossed Queensware.

My teapot looks to be very old.  The only mark on the bottom that I can see is a block style B indentation along with two streaks of indented dashes.   Do you see the cows lying in the middle of the lane?  I love the sheep on the teapot lid!

I placed my Grandmothers stool in front of the cabin fireplace and covered it with a tea cloth trimmed with crochet.  You can see the reflection of my dining room windows in the fireplace.

Here's a peak of my Grandmothers stool leg.  Pretty risque for being my Grandma's!  Wish I knew the history of the stool.

Thank you for letting me share my new teapot.  Now I'm suppose to wrap it for Christmas eve (maybe the day before I will!).

Thank you for coming by and have a wonderful week!

I'll be joining the following parties this week:  Teatime Tuesday, A Return to Loveliness, Friends Sharing Tea,  Teacup Tuesday, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Share Your Cup Thursday, Teacup Thursday, Feathered Nest Friday, Simple and Sweet Fridays, Home Sweet Home,  Show and Tell Friday, and Pink Saturday.

  4. What a lovely fireside tea - so cozy! Your new brown and white transferware teapot is lovely, and so is the Wedgewood teacup and your grandmother's stool. Aren't daughters special? My mother used to say, "A daughters a daughter all of her life, but a sons a son til he takes a wife!" ;-)

  23. Well, Nancy - looks like I'll be coming by for tea at your place! Oh - you have a fire burning - all must be right with the world - and cozy too! I'm in a house at present with no fireplace except for a fake one with electric logs. It looks nice enough - but how I would love a real one again! And teatime beside it. Your Wedgewood cup is so unusual with the raised sculpture - very elegant; and that teapot wins my heart, too - especially the trio of sheep on the lid!! Cottage anything is a favorite at my place!
    Joy!
