A Victorian Tea

Hello everyone.  Hope you all are enjoying the last weeks of summer!

A couple of weeks ago I had my granddaughter over for the night at the farm cottage.  Of course we had a tea party (actually two!).

We decided to have tea in the garden as it was a beautiful late afternoon.  Aubrey choose to wear her favorite tea party hat and a vintage dress I bought at a antique mall last winter, along with long white gloves and a sparkling necklace.  Such a lovely Victorian maiden!

Aubrey choose her paternal Great Grandmothers silver tea set and her maternal Great Grandmothers teacup for the tea table.  I think she made a beautiful choice!

Aubrey enjoying the garden after our tea.

Thank you for letting me show off my only Granddaughter.  She is such a blessing to me!

I'll be joining these lovely parties:  Teatime Tuesday, Teacup Tuesday, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Tea in the Garden, Return to Loveliness, Cottage Garden Party, Share Your Cup Thursday, Teacup Thursday, and Pink Saturday.

  17. How great that your granddaughter likes tea parties and dressing up! Her lacey dress is lovely. She definitely made a beautiful choice with her tea party selections. I saw a teapot like yours at a flea market this past weekend. Seeing how lovely the teapot looks all shiny, makes me want to go back and purchase it.

  21. Beautiful granddaughter and beautiful Victorian tea! This month I attended to "pink" baby showers and got my little girl tea time fun by shopping for miniature tea sets. Gave me a chance to reminisce about tea parties with my "baby" who just graduated from college. Great pictures, thanks for sharing!!

  26. Nancy,
That last picture is priceless! I have lots of dress ups in my bonus room and my granddaughters love playing in them. I threw a tea at my previous home, but have yet to do one here. My grandies would love it. Aubrey is so cute and looks like a real lady. Love the clothing, the tea set, and as always; the gardens! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
