This year we're going to my nieces home for Thanksgiving, so thought I'd dress up my table in the
Thanksgiving theme for my hubby and me to enjoy.
The large turkey plate with leaves is marked MarutaWare and the strutting turkey plate is marked "Turkey" by W.R. Midwinter, Burslem, England.
I've had the large platter for years.
My dear Moma made the turkey tureen in the l970's. We had such fun doing ceramics together.
Hope you all have a blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends.
I'm joing others at "Rose Chintx Cottage" for Tea Time Tuesday.
Hi Nancy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice turkey platter; perfect for Thanksgiving. I love your Autumn inspired teapot and teacup. Thanks for joining me for tea today and enjoy your dinner at your niece's. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Blessings,
Sandi
Your turkey plates are nice.
ReplyDeleteI too did lots of ceramics back in the 70's, I made a huge turkey platter that later developed a crack.
Grazie del tuo bel commento!Ti auguro una bella festa del ringraziamento!Baci,Rosetta
ReplyDeleteHello nancy,
ReplyDeletewhow, you have a stunning collection on turkey plates, platter and toureen. Amazing that your Mom did this platter. It is a real artist work and so decorative for Thanksgiving.
Best greetings, Johanna
I love your turkey platter, perfect for the occassion. I had a nice one and well, dropped it. What a great memory is this ceramic class you had with your mom. The dogs on the mantle, gog and mog? (something like that)
