Scripture Tea

Hello everyone,
Yesterday was a cool day in the upper 40's and sunny.  We're at the little farm cottage for the weekend.   I took a break from spring raking and thought I'd enjoy a cup of tea and some molasses cookies.   I set the tea tray in front of the fireplace to take the chill off of me.

I'm using one of my favorite teapots I had for years.  I bought a box of raspberry scripture tea on my way home from
Florida, so thought Id try it.  I love the fact that the tea bags have different verses printed on it.  Its like a special verse for the day.

My daughter just gave me her old set of pink dishes knowing I love pink!  The teacup is sturdy and I know will be one of my everyday favorites.

Well, the tea and cookies were just what I needed to bring back some energy to tackle the rest of the flower beds.  Thank you so much for stopping by today.

I'll be joing  the following tea parties:  Tea Time Tuesday, Tuesday Cuppa Tea, Teacup Tuesday,  Table Top Tuesday, Friends Sharing Tea, Return to Loveliness, Teacup Thursday, and Pink Saturday.

What a perfect place for a cozy cup of tea. Lovely teapot! I was given some scripture tea, but I don't want to use it! I have tucked a bag into a te=loving friend's card though! Thanks for sharing your cozy tea nook.

Lovely post! Your cottage is so inviting, and I love your tea stand. I enjoy giving Scripture tea as gifts at church. It's so nice seeing an encouraging scripture verse dangling from the teacup.

Beautiful teapot & scripture. I had to look twice as my eye sight is going if that was a real cat or a faux one. I can see it is faux.
Have a good day.

I am so glad you stopped over at my blog to read my tea post today! I came over to read yours, too, and I really like it here! I live in Indiana and have traveled up to the UP a few times in my life! We visited Mackinac island and the Soo Locks before. It's so beautiful up there! Love your little teatime post! It has been unseasonably cool lately. A cup of tea is always good to warm the body!

What a pretty tea tray! Lucky you to get those fab pink dishes from your daughter! The pink tea cup is really sweet. They look really good with your very pretty tea pot. I have a tea pot like it, but it has different flowers.

Your teatime tray is GORGEOUS! I LOVE that little table tray! AND it even has DRAWERS!!! The pink dishes are FANTASTIC! The cup looks like a NICE BIG one! I can picture having my OATMEAL in such a grande cup! Molasses cookies are "COMFORT FOOD"!!! I ALWAYS have dough-balls of them in the freezer JUST WAITING to pop in the oven for a quick dozen cookies. They remind me of My Darling Grandmother. I never DID get her recipe WHICH WAS THE BEST! She didn't have one...It was all just "Scooped into a Bowl" and like Magic, "Grandmas Molasses cookies came out of the oven"!
Thank you for sharing your delightful tea with us...
Have a wonderful weekend,
Hugs,
Donna

Oh, I do love that teapot! The tea sounds lovely -- how nice to have a scripture to think on as you sip away. The white kitty on the floor reminds me of my ceramic days -- that was a very popular mold!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and for your comment -- I think I like the white in the center of the coasters best too, no matter the flower color!
